Description
My first astronomical binocular is now up for sale. It is just as good as it was when I got it for Christmas some years ago. I asked for it because it had all of the eye relief that I needed to accommodate my glasses. Now, I have a Steiner Shadow Quest 8x56 and I am letting my UltraView go to someone who can enjoy it as much as I have. It has a large field of view of 8.2 degrees for a generous slice of the night's sky. It has 22mm eye relief for comfortable viewing. It has click adjustable eyepieces for viewing with or without eye glasses. It has good color rendition. It is quite bright, which is why I was anticipating going hunting with it. But this never happened. Being a modern unit, it has BAK-4 prisms. It is sharp with a listed close focus of 12 feet (actually closer to 15 feet). The inside is clean. The lenses are undamaged. There is no fungus because I used and stored this binocular carefully. Also, it's waterproof. Lastly, it is in full collimation. This is a great instrument for someone who wants wide, bright images without carrying a lot of weight around.
